Report

Currently, Japan’s population is on a downward trend, and this trend is expected to continue over the medium to long term. Under these circumstances, as the domestic market in industries such as construction, where the number of populations is highly related to the size of the market, matures and declines, there is a movement toward overseas expansion as a new market where companies can utilize the knowledge and achievements they have accumulated to date.

On the other hand, the business model for the construction sector, which requires the completion of deliverables such as buildings and roads on site, is very different from that of simple transactions of goods and services and is extremely complex. In addition to the wide range of information to be collected and analyzed during the business concept study phase, there are also many possible patterns of how the company’s strengths can be utilized in overseas markets.

In this project, we supported a client company that was expanding overseas for the first time by providing consulting services to clarify the content and direction of its overseas business, narrowing down promising countries step by step based on evidence, gathering information related to the construction market in particularly promising countries, and preparing business introduction materials for potential overseas partners. We have also supported in the preparation of business introduction materials for potential overseas partners. We plan to continue providing support in the form of multilingual materials, contacting local companies, and conducting online interviews.
