Report

The need for infrastructure development as a preparation for natural disasters is increasing worldwide due to the effects of climate change on a global scale.

Japan has overcome severe natural disasters for many years, and many products and technologies that are useful for river maintenance and flood damage control have already become widespread. On the other hand, there are many countries overseas where similar products and technologies have not been fully dispersed.
In countries facing the threat of natural disasters, it is important to keep in mind how to utilize available products, technologies and know-how in order to protect people’s lives and economic activities. In the short term, we carry out promotion to raise awareness of our products in target countries and build relationships with local partner organizations. In the medium to long term, we support the planning of necessary surveys and activities so that products meeting the governmental product standards could be produced locally.
